A domain can be purchased for around $8 per year and it can be hosted by a hosting company for around $40 a year. The other alternative is to sign up for a free Blogger account from Google© where name selection might be limited but still can get you started.

When getting started, check out some will established blogs online to see what they are doing and the format that they are using. It is better to follow by example rather than trying to re-invent the wheel.

To keep your site going you must continue to post, most people throw up a blog and quit posting after a few weeks, a sure sign for disaster.

Try to find a good template that is easy to use and looks good to your viewers.
